Greg Geisler is a Clinical Professor of Accounting at Indiana University - Bloomington. He teaches all tax courses including a course on Income Taxes and Financial Planning. His research interest is how taxes impact financial planning and he received an award at the 2017 FPA Annual Meeting for his Journal of Financial Planning article about the tax-efficient rank ordering for investing and paying down debts.
At his former institution, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Greg won the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2017. He holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Before entering academia full-time, he was a practicing CPA working in public accounting for 5 years.
