Membership is available to any person involved in the financial planning process, whether or not they are a Certified Financial Planner™. The FPA has bankers, accountants, and members of other allied professions among its members.

Membership is also available to students enrolled in a financial planning program. Further details on the reduced membership rate can be obtained by contacting the membership chair, Amy Guerich, at amy@steppandrothwell.com.

Dues include membership in the national Financial Planning Association and the local chapter.

For information on the benefits of being a member nationally, check out the web site at http://www.fpanet.org. Locally, membership provides the individual with a monthly newsletter and reduced registration fees to all meetings. CFP® members are also able to participate in media activities, such as Call In TV shows, Ask the Expert and Money Make Over columns in The Kansas City Star, as well as answering questions on the web site for The Star.
