Working with journalists is one of the easiest ways to increase your visibility and enhance your brand. With an ever increasing news cycle and the onslaught of online news coverage, the time is right to learn what you can do to master working with the media to amplify your own exposure and the important role financial planners play.

Join the FPA of Greater Kansas City for Media Mastery, an interactive media training presentation on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Conducted by Ben Lewis, FPA’s Director of Public Relations, the training will walk FPA members through the necessary skills and tactics for working with the media. Ben will cover:

  • How to best prepare for an interview to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible
  • How to master the skills needed to perform at a high level during an interview
  • How to display great poise when working with reporters
  • How to protect your reputation when working with reporters

About Ben Lewis

With more than 20 years of public relations experience in financial services, non-profit, and government, Ben Lewis is able to use his experiences in helping FPA members learn how they can build long-lasting relationships with journalists. Prior to becoming the Director of Public Relations for FPA, Ben consulted for dozens of advisers and organizations across the country. He is also author of Perfecting The Pitch: Creating Publicity Through Media Rapport, which was released in 2007.
